Meet The Staff

Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before His presence with singing. Psalm 100:2 I grew up singing and in church every Sunday, Wednesday--whenever the doors were opened. I have heard stories of me playing church as a small child singing "Amazing Grace How Sweet the Sound, That Saved a "Witch" Like Me". I wanted to please my Daddy and walked the isle as an 8 year old but didn't know what I was doing. I continued to play church most of my adult life. Church Music has always been a part of my life playing the piano or organ most every Sunday and singing with a Gospel Trio for many years. My life was missing something. I could sing about Jesus, thought I was saved, but I did not live for HIM. After many failed relationships I discovered Jesus was what was missing in my life. I only showed up on Sunday morning for HIM. After I was saved and put HIM as number one in my life, starting serving HIM, starting living for HIM daily, my life changed. I married Larry Davis who I know God sent to me. We didn't start off living right but with God's forgiveness we are so blessed and I thank God everyday for another chance. I have sinned and been forgiven, I still sin and HE is faithful to forgive and I have the assurance that when I fail HIM in the future HE will forgive and forget. When I see my Daddy again one day, we can sing together, " What A Mighty God We Serve".

It is such a blessing to be involved with a church that truly cares about people, and not just the people who are members of the church. We were originally drawn to Crossroads by the Christ-like spirit we could feel when we first walked through the doors.
I am the husband of a beautiful, caring wife and father of two, incredible (my opinion , of course) boys. I experienced the salvation of Jesus at a young age when a choir in Denver sang the song He Could Have Called 10,000 Angels. This may possibly be the reason for my enjoying involvement with music.
I became involved in the full time ministry as a Youth/Music director at Heatherridge Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We had a great pastor there who was also a very gifted music director. While on staff, I completed a degree in K-8 education in Oklahoma, along with enough music classes to have a minor in music. This was also the church where Donna came into my life. After marriage and the arrival of our first child, we moved to Georgia to be close to Donna’s family. We had our second child shortly thereafter. I’ve been working at Gatewood School in Eatonton since 1999 and, about 2 years ago, went on staff here at Crossroads as the Praise Team Director. It is truly a blessing working with the staff here.
We look forward to how God will grow our church leadership in the future.
Lauren came to be the director of children's ministry in 2018. She is married to her husband, Elvis Pressley. Lauren has 2 children and 1 on the way.
